History

Everything started at the exhibition "Systems 2000" in November in Munich with long nights, good music, lots of beers and an idea... and 3 people having a good time: Ralf Nolden, Torsten Rahn and Eva.

And then everything happened very fast: A mailing list was set up, some more women, that were already active in KDE, were contacted and we met in the chat. On our first meeting in Darmstadt we discussed our web pages with the design made by Agnes. And here you see the result of the then following work.

By now the chat is our central place for conversation and we had another meeting in Holland. The projects gets more and more attendance and we hope the project grows by attracting other women to the project.

Now in 2003 the KDE Women project is back alive. After a longer period, where the project got asleep, the website is rewritten and ported to the new KDE design. Some women found together again and want to get the chat, the mailinglist and the whole community back alive. We hope to see a lot of other women joining us too!
